Nope. Nope .Nope.
So when I found out about other blogs which aim for the same advocacy of informing the consumers of cosmetic and beauty products, I was ecstatic! These blogs are gems, so while I'm away slaving for the projects, I'll introduce you to these beauty skeptic-themed blogs, which I highly suggest for your reading:
1. Skeptical Beauty (http://skepticalbeauty.wordpress.com)
While it is sad that there are no recent posts from this blog, Skeptical Beauty gives very good examinations on beauty claims of products while not being too Science-y. If I had the guts and time, I would like to write articles of the same quality. They may not be a lot, but the articles can awaken the beauty skeptic in a giddy, raving (love love super love) gullible consumer.
2.Beauty Brains (http://thebeautybrains.com/)
Now, let's raise the bar to an even more prolific blog. The Beauty Brains is regularly updated with articles, from safety discussions of beauty ingredients to product reviews which give concise weighing of beauty claims vs ingredients, though not as hard hitting as Skeptical Beauty. Also, the bloggers are very good with their ad techniques, but that just me slightly envious of their blog.
3. Futurederm (http://www.futurederm.com)
Now this is one beautiful blog, or store... website! Very nice looking layout, high quality pictures, tons of product reviews, and the best of all, a glossary of cosmetic ingredients! The articles are a mix of high quality write-ups and product reviews on skin care, cosmetics, even hair care. The site is really good, I'm starting to sound very excited.
So, dear reader, I would be glad if you also read these blogs, and maybe start your own. We beauty consumers need all the information we can have, and every bit, even the giggly almost stupid ones (I admit), matter.
