5 Korean-Based Skincare Lines the Philippines Would Love

Aloof as some Filipinos may seem with the multitudes of Korean anything surging into the country, some skincare junkies still are craving for those elusive skincare and cosmetics lines which haven't caught on to the branching out of several brands here in the Philippines.

Today, let's go over those brands Filipinas will surely welcome with our usual warm hospitality.

1. It's Skin

Yes, yes, It's Skin does sell some of its products in SM Megamall's department store. However, there are some notable products off this line that are missing and are only accessed from online purchases. It's also good to know that It's Skin's products are not very pricey, so they are always welcome additions to the already flourishing Korean skin care market in the Philippines.

2. Innisfree

Do you like nature-themed skincare products? Then you'll love Innisfree. Their products incorporate natural ingredients and the brand encourages its costumers to return the containers (at least they try). But this line's selling point is its affordable price range and the product's ingredients.

3. Benton

Cheap and well-formulated, the Benton skin care line is already making waves in the Asian skin care community despite of its relatively non-existent marketing gimmicks (when compared to other luxury brands who hire celebrities and the likes). This skin care line is only accessible via internet shops like roseroseshop, and Benton coming here will surely be awesome, especially for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin.

4. Hera

The Philippines is no stranger to high-end beauty products, and this can easily proven by taking a stroll in a Rustan's department store. It would be nice if there would be a Korean skin care line among these kiosks, and Hera's quality makeup (and skin care products) would definitely fit in along with MAC, Bobbi Brown and the rest of the Western crew. It's just that there aren't any high end Korean cosmetics line in the Philippines right now, by the way, and a little variety is always welcome.

5. Sulwhasoo

Sulwhasoo is AmorePacific's herbal medicine-inspired line, and with a lot of riche ladies in the country into herbal / natural skin care products, this brand will surely get their attention. Be warned, the ingredient list of herbals in their products is quite extensive - it will be a curse for those who do not know what they're doing but a holy grail for those with oriental medicine know-how.

There are many, many other Korean brands out there, and for more reading, you may refer to Hope In A Blog's Korean cosmetics guide for newbies, as the information is quite sufficient for brand overviews.
