First Impressions: Random Samples from MISSHA, The FACE Shop and Etude House

I find it not fair to review skin care products based on samples as I believe not enough time is given to allow for the ingredients to take effect - it's just like taking a prescription medicine just once despite of the recommended trice a day intake and saying the drug is useless.

Which is why rather than a review, I'd rather share my first impressions on the samples I got from my sister who lives in Korea. Nothing too descriptive, but just enough to give an idea is worthy of further Googling for prices, suppliers, and ingredients.

Here goes!

Top row, left to right

Etude House Baking Powder Deep Cleansing Foam - there are 'beads' in it and the star ingredient, baking powder, reminded my of baking soda which is a no-no skin care ingredient, contrary to popular myth

Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer - I don't know how to use this and I'm planning to give this sample away. Next!

Etude House I'm Blooming Cotton Pads - 5 thin pads grouped into one. I don't get it.

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Skin Treatment and Essential Moisturizer - these two felt too sticky which is very much different with the cream from this line. Not gonna try these products.

Middle row, left to right

The FACE Shop Mango Seed *something* - liked the smell, product takes a while to dry and might be good as a night moisturizer. Might check ingredients out.

The FACE Shop CC Cream - I like my BB cream. Next!

Missha Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Clear Cream - somewhat sticky and might be appropriate as a night cream. Left my face shiny, too. Erm, no.

Missha Super Aqua Ultra Waterfull Cream - a bit goes a long way, moisturizes well and is absorbed fairly quickly and a possible day and night moisturizer. Worth the research!

Bottom row, left to right

Missha Super Aqua Perfect Cleansing Tissue (full product) - used it just once, by the way. Did not leave my skin too tight while being able to clean somehow, but of course not as good as my normal routine. Performance may be at par if not better than The FACE Shop's Herb Day Cleansing Tissue.

Missha Dong Baek Shampoo (Gold) - did wonders for my hair! Will check the price first through.

Missha Cherry Blossom Fresh Cleansing oil - smells nice, but is quite runny. Might check the ingredient list and consider that.

Missha Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream - full product review to follow! Watch out for it.
